Why is my LYFT account locked?
Lyft sometimes disables passenger accounts if they suspect fraudulent activity. When your account has been disabled, you’ll automatically be logged out of the app and you will see an error message when you log in and try to request a ride.
How do I recover my LYFT account?

- Tap ‘Get Started’
- Tap ‘Have an account and new number? ‘
- Enter your new phone number.
- Wait for us to send you a verification code, then enter it.
- Enter your verified email address.
- Check your email and follow the instructions to recover your account.
How long can a LYFT stop be?
You can add a stop on your Lyft ride to help you easily run a quick errand or drop another passenger off. However, Lyft asks that you keep your stop to less than 10 minutes of wait time for the driver, otherwise you should end the Lyft ride and call a new one.
Does LYFT hold money?
To ride with Lyft, you must have a valid payment method setup. Lyft uses temporary authorizations to confirm that your payment method is entered correctly and has enough funds to cover your ride. Authorizations appear as ‘pending’ transactions in your bank account, but they aren’t charges.
Why is my LYFT not working?
Close the app and any other apps running in the background of your device. Toggle airplane mode on and then off once to refresh your network connection. Shut down your device for at least 30 seconds, then restart it. Uninstall and reinstall the app.
Can I delete my LYFT account and start over?
To delete your Lyft account and data, visit our data privacy page. A request to delete your Lyft account will apply to both your rider and driver accounts. There isn’t a way to request only partial deletion of your account or data. There also isn’t a way to undo an account deletion request once completed.
Can I have 2 LYFT accounts?
They don’t. You just have to have a different credit card, email address and phone number each time. As long as they are tracking by email address you can have as many new accounts (and free rides) as you can set up.
Are Lyft drivers responsible for lost items?
Lyft will try to help you, but ultimately, they do not accept responsibility for your lost belongings. Here’s what their Terms of Service says about it: We do not procure insurance for, nor are we responsible for, personal belongings left in the car by Drivers or Riders.
Can I sue LYFT for deactivating my account?
If a driver doesn’t think he or she was deactivated for a permitted reason, he or she can challenge Lyft’s decision to deactivate the driver at Lyft’s expense.
Can LYFT stop for food?
Understood. Thanks! If you book a regular Lyft ride, you can assign multiple stops along the route to your hotel. Do this, and no begging necessary (though, offering to buy them food is a good way to ‘sweeten’ the deal, so to speak.)
Do Lyft drivers get paid to wait between stops?
Yes, Lyft and Uber charge passengers and pay drivers for the time a trip takes as well as mileage. It’s relatively rare, at least in my experience, for passengers to ask a driver to wait more than a minute or two for a stop on the way to their destination.
Can I ask my Lyft driver to stop for food?

Do Lyft drivers get penalized for Cancelling?
Lyft uses cancellation and no-show fees to make sure drivers are paid for their time and effort. Drivers are paid a minimum cancellation fee or earn based on the time and distance they drive – whichever is greater.
What is LYFT no-show fee?
For no – shows (i.e., a passenger never meets their awaiting vehicle), passengers will be charged a $5 no – show fee under the following conditions: A Lyft driver has arrived at the correct location, and has waited for your arrival. A Lyft driver has waited at least 5 minutes for your arrival.
